In addition to these cognitive benefits, music lessons instil essential life skills like patience, discipline, resilience, responsibility, self-management, work ethic, social skills, and self-expression. By enrolling your child in music lessons, you’re nurturing their overall development.
Learning an instrument offers a wide range of benefits, including improved memory, organisational skills, and attention span. With so many cognitive and personal growth advantages, the question becomes, “Why wouldn’t you want to learn a musical instrument?”
To make consistent progress on your instrument, it is essential to practice for at least 10-15 minutes a day. This regular practice helps reinforce what you’ve learned during your lessons and leads to greater proficiency over time
If your child loses interest in their instrument, it is important to have an open conversation with them to understand the reasons behind their disinterest. It might be helpful to explore new musical styles, or contact your child's music teacher to set specific goals to reignite their passion. Remember, music should be enjoyable, so adapt to your child’s evolving interests and needs.
The Music Diary is a valuable tool that our teachers use to provide feedback, guidance, and tips for our students. It also helps students and parents keep track of what was covered in each music lesson. This communication tool enhances the learning experience and ensures that students receive the best possible instruction.
Encourage them to practice regularly, attend their lessons, and set achievable goals. It is important to be patient and understanding, as learning an instrument can be challenging. Attend their recitals and performances to show your support and appreciation for their effort. Additionally, consider creating a nurturing and musically inclined environment at home by exposing them to variety of music styles and experiences.

Apollo Music Academy understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need for cancellations. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our students and instructors. If you need to cancel a scheduled lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any charges. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson may be subject to a cancellation fee. Absolutely! Our music school hosts annual year-end concerts, typically scheduled toward the conclusion of term 4 each year. These concerts provide an exceptional platform for our students to share their dedication and talents with the broader community. We strongly encourage all our students to seize this valuable opportunity to showcase their hard work and musical prowess before an audience.
